This should work in your init.lua:

   events.connect(events.LEXER_LOADED, function(lexer)
     local alpha = lexer == '...' and 55 or buffer.ALPHA_NOALPHA
     buffer.caret_line_back_alpha = alpha

Since `caret_line_back_alpha` applies to all buffers in a view, you'll
have to set it upon switching buffers to make it appear buffer-specific.
