I'm the guy who likes ^Z suspending TextAdept. :-)

It's a standard terminal setting which can be configured using 'stty'.

To disable the ^Z = suspend, change the "suspend" key to undefined:

    stty susp ''

You can put it back with:

    stty susp '^Z'
