I've pushed a fix[1] to make sure 'Esc' always clears highlighted words. This wouldn't have happened otherwise if you defined `keys.esc`.

You can now `events.emit(events.KEYPRESS, 0xFF1B)` to simulate an Esc keypress to clear highlighted words programatically. I prefer not to export `textadept.editing.clear_highlighted_words()`.
