This morning I again had this problem occur, in that an image link
"<img src=xxx"> didn't have the lexer applied correctly. I pressed
[F5] and sure enough, the lexer applied correctly. I then tried to
recreate the behaviour by closing and reopening the file, also closing
and reopening Textadept but the lexer applied correctly each time. I
will keep trying to recreate the problem so that I can provide some
useful information.
